Excavation Repairs questions

When is excavation needed?

It is needed when a pipe has collapsed, the damage is too extensive for lining, or the pipe is in the wrong position or fall. Lining is always considered first where it will do the job.

Will you reinstate the ground afterwards?

Yes. Once the repair is complete and tested, the trench is backfilled and the ground is reinstated. We explain the finish before we start.

How do you decide between excavation and lining?

We look at the location, depth, extent of damage and access. We recommend the method most likely to last, and explain why the alternative is not suitable.
